My thoughts:

After the previous books, I was 1000% sure Earthbound would be a strong instalment, and boy, it delivered and then some. The intricate, detailed, and unique magic system is one of my favourite things in the whole series, and it expands the world even further in book 3, which I really loved. At the same time, at the heart of everything are the characters. Despite the magic and the gripping plot, they are the beating heart of this journey. Watching their growth and changes was just as immersive and heartwarming as everything else. It was crafted so perfectly that the plot and characters didn't overshadow each other but complemented one another perfectly. Every thread was tied in a way I didn't expect, and that was a really nice surprise and a breath of fresh air from the usual paths that many books follow in their conclusions. Perfect amount of action at the end, unique magic and characters... I’m really happy I embarked on this journey and loved every second of it.
