For each, this obsession might prove their downfall.
Who will bend the knee first?
My thoughts:
What on earth did I witness? 😲 Unhinged, intensity to the brim and sometimes you're like, "What is going on?" yet you're still captivated, like a moth to a flame.
I can safely say that my love-hate relationship with this book is the same as that between Zora and Tarantula... unexplainable and intense 😂.
I haven't read other books by Jasmine Mas, and from what I gather, her writing style is that kind of eccentric and chaotic whirlwind that drags you into its own strange reality.
Yes, I had a few bits and pieces that rubbed me the wrong way or felt odd, but somehow I was intrigued and glued to this journey.
The tension and intensity between Zora and Tarantula were off the charts and on another level, with both of them being such hot-headed disasters, which made it so much fun.
Especially Tarantula being such a prude made me laugh so much 😂😂😂.
I mean, c'mon, an ankle? 😂😂😂. The thing with this book is, you get all the answers, and everything starts to make sense in the final chapters.
Before that, you just enjoy the rollercoaster ride, and I understand why so many people DNF'd this book, but the answers at the end made so much sense you're like, "Ooohhh, so that's why."
Didn't expect that, but I had a lot of fun with this one 😂😁.
