My thoughts:
A Cursed Son is the new book in a series by the wonderful Day Leitao that is a read you'll devour in one breath. Enemies-to-lovers with a lot of banter and loving moments.💜🥰
Our main female character, Astra, is living a life that it's not her own—trained to be a substitute for the princess of Krastel should the need arises, she is forced to learn everything from history to defending herself why living isolated in a castle. All this while keeping a dangerous secret of her own that, if it gets out, it could be the end of her.
Her only reprieve is her dreams at night about a mysterious figure that brings her love, a sense of security and hope….until she wakes up returning to her reality.
That all crashes down when, while sent on a mission, her carriage is unexpectedly attacked and by no other than the same person who invades her dreams every nigh.
So many question to untangle….about him, but also about her, her dreams and, most importantly, who is telling the truth and how to survive all this.
Entertaining page turner with lots of magic, different fae kingdoms and rules and as I mentioned a funny banter to go with it😁💜😂
I was fascinated by Marlak's character and all that he went through, all the trauma and the unanswered questions about him that I can't wait to discover in the next book.
Astra, on the other hand, I loved her bravery and despite the glass cover she lived in all her life, she is a survivor and a fighter and doesn't give herself much time to wallow in her wounds but pushes forward with determination.
So want to see more from Marlak soon😁🥰💜
